Overview & Responsibilities

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manages integration of acquired people and processes to ensure change management progresses on schedule and smoothly. Work with business process owners to obtain resources to support the integration of people and processes.

SPECIFIC RESPONSBILITIES

40% Project Management

Develop integration project and communications plans including timelines, milestones, technology changes, transition of technology and processes, dependencies, and resources to ensure a smooth integration of acquired people and processes. Determine appropriate project team for size/scope of acquisition. Identify potential team members, expectations, time commitment; obtain resource approval; and notify team members of role, expectations, and time commitment. Review project plan with Business Development management and obtain input and approval.

Communicate team member roles, expectations, and time commitments. Schedule meetings with applicable team members throughout project phases to ensure initiatives are launched on-time and seamlessly. Provides post-integration team member performance feedback to Business Development and Market Management.

Implement project plan against planned timeline. Bi-monthly update Business Development and Market Management on project status, blocks, delays, timing, issues, and improvements impact.

Continually improves integration plans. Obtains post-integration feedback from acquired location as well as project team members. Identifies hurdles and blocks, develops corrective action plan, obtains stakeholder approval, and implements corrective solutions.

50% Change Management

Arrange, set agenda, schedule presenters, and facilitate Associate integration meetings ensuring consistent messaging and transparency.

On-site of acquisition, be visible and approachable to confidentially listen to acquired associates concerns, addressing as appropriate, redirecting associates focus, or lessoning fears to ensure smooth transition and minimize turn-over. Writes and maintains on-going Q&A for publication to mitigate associate’s take-over fears and support transparency.

Assess acquired business environment and adapts integration project plan accordingly to ensure smooth transition. As issues arise, assess situation, determine business minded options, and influence resolution to deliver results in the face of changing circumstances and resistance from others.

Assess acquired management’s skill level and create development plans for approval and implementation by Market Management. Development plans may include software training, leadership training, shadowing, mentoring, and financial or business knowledge.

10% Staff Management

Oversees the day to day activities of the Integration Staff (currently 1). Provides constructive performance feedback, identifies gaps and provides trainings/development resources.

Assesses and documents performance against standards. Recommends recognition/promotions and pay/rewards.

Initially screens candidates and recommends final hire.

Requirements & Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/Experience/Requirements

Education:

Bachelor degree in General Business, Communications, or a related discipline

Certifications in project management or process improvement a plus

Experience:

At least seven (7) years Project Management experience

Change management or process improvement experience strongly desired

Experience leading large and small scale cross-departmental teams and delivering on-time results

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of associates in an organization with tact and professionalism

Ability to accurately assess situations and derive the root cause

Ability in influence and persuade

Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work against competing demands

Professional and personal interpersonal skills to instill a sense of transparency and trust with acquired associates

Work Conditions

Travel

40-50% travel to acquired USA locations

Work Environment

Up to 50% remote work at various acquired locations.

Primarily work indoors; however, may occasionally work outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions

Standard business attire is required

Work Postures

Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day

Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day

Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently

Physical Demands

Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage

Ability to carry and lift luggage during travel

Work Hours

Working beyond “standard” hours as the need arises
