Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the OPI Team’s business and labor reviews through data analysis; own and seek to improve current regular data models; actively managing Analyst team to provide effective data analysis in an efficient manner; identify process improvement opportunities; document drivers and processes into action plans; present strategic rationale for operation performance improvement plans to OPI leadership; support OPI leadership with the implementation of developed action plans; oversee the tracking of results and communication of results to operations and corporate management.
50% Supports identification of performance improvement opportunities to include
Maintain and improve data models
Work with a sense of urgency to update monthly reports, improving process when applicable
Identify internal and external key metrics that would drive operational improvement
Work with Analyst team to identify profit improvement opportunities through data analysis
Create and conduct Management surveys to identify opportunities
Work with OPI Leadership to identify and support goals
Recommend conclusions and support decision making
Develop strong relationships with SCI Corporate teams
40 % Manage Analyst team
Define objectives and explain broader context of data analysis projects
Monitor data analysis progress and appraise results
Conduct annual reviews
10 % Identify and document drivers and processes to develop implementation plans
Field interviews and market visits to study and identify drivers of performance
Utilize drivers and processes to develop improvement plan
Present operational improvement plans to Operational Leadership
Gain performance improvement plan ‘buy in’ from Operational Leadership
Participate and support implementation of action plans
Track and communicate project results
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
5+ years of accounting/financial analysis experience or equivalent experience in a related field
1-2 years management experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables
Strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills
Advanced understanding of financial statements and business drivers
Ability to think strategically about business issues
Communication and team building skills to successfully involve other corporate departments and business units in data gathering efforts
