We currently have an opportunity for a Market Sales Director in the Pelham, AL Market. The successful candidate will be professional, creative, energetic, motivated, committed, and capable of producing service excellence and maintain a high standard of compliance.

Other requirements include but are not limited to the following:

  • Promote and ensure the success of sales through achievement of each location’s sales quotas, including pre-planning.

  • Recruit, train, motivate and retain Sales Managers, Sales Counselors, Campaign Manager, and Recruiter

  • Assist Sales Managers with training regarding sales techniques, legal requirements and all other compliance issues

  • Be actively involved in the field with Sales Managers/Counselors and potential customers

  • Develop and maintain a positive employee relations environment so that associates are motivated to strive for performance excellence

  • Possess a proven track record of sales, operations, customer service, and performance

  • Review and evaluate sales staff performance

  • Conduct weekly sales conversations and team updates

  • Effectively introduce and implement all company sales initiatives

  • Be actively involved in the community and engaged in all public relations activities, including national and local market events

  • Able to provide a premier level of client satisfaction that will satisfy the needs of every client family and which upholds the Dignity Promise – Strong JD Powers scores

  • Acute attention to detail with emphasis on innovation and creativity

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

  • Must possess a “can do” attitude and an ability to effectively embrace and manage change

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Sales experience is helpful but not mandatory

  • High level of comfort using computer systems within a sales environment

  • Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus

  • High level of integrity, dedication, and desire to succeed

  • Desire to help others and earn a competitive income

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently

  • Creative, outgoing, and energetic

  • Comfortable with in-home sales and conducting group presentations

  • A good driving record and valid driver’s license

  • Solid work history

  • Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred

This position may require the associate to obtain and maintain an insurance license in any state in which he/she conducts sales. To obtain the insurance license, the candidate must meet the requirements of Assurant’s background check process which includes, but is not limited to, a criminal history and credit check.
